Depression

Depression can be more than feeling sad. It may also mean a lack of energy or motivation to do the things you previously loved to do. It may seem like a disconnection to those around you or isolation from friends and family. People who are depressed may have negative thoughts about themselves or feel unworthy to get better. Challenging all of the above in counseling may help get to the root of these thoughts and reduce them.

Anxiety

People with anxiety may frequently feel, “on edge,” have ruminating or racing thoughts, overthink, be unable to be present in the moment or have unrealistic worries that keep them up at night. Maybe the to-do list and responsibilities seem never ending and overwhelming. Counseling may start to untangle those thoughts and allow your mind some rest.

Life Transition

It is normal to have some change in mood or functioning with life transitions: new baby, job loss, new job, move to a new town, divorce, ending of a relationship, medical diagnosis. Change is hard but can be overcome. The events in our lives or things that happen to us do not define us. Using the strengths you already have can help you overcome even the toughest obstacles.

If one or all of the issues above are impacting your ability to live a meaningful life at home or work, take the first steps towards progress by booking a free, “no pressure” consultation by calling 732-443-0658 or clicking the button below.
